High police presence for Snowtunes

A high-visibility police operation will continue in the Snowies today (31/08) for the Snowtunes Music Festival.

Police will be targeting illicit drug use and supply, anti-social behaviour and road compliance.

The operation will involve officers from Monaro Police District, the NSW Police Dog Unit and other specialist command support.

Monaro Police District Commander, Superintendent Paul Condon, said police will be there to uphold the law and ensure the safety of all festival-goers.

Additionally, officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command will be deployed to target speeding, drink-and-drug-driving and other dangerous driver behaviour to ensure everyone gets to and from the event safely.
